About the project
Project creator: Sergejs Rudenko (IPatyj).
He operates this website and acts as the data controller for website visitor data and support enquiries. Contact: support@ipatyj.com.
This policy covers the IPatyj Traffic browser speed test. The website measures download speed, upload speed, ping and jitter. It does not read the list of apps on your phone or their data usage. Android app records are separate from this website's history.
When you start a speed test
A test starts when you press Start or Test again. Your browser exchanges test data over HTTPS with Cloudflare Speed Test at speed.cloudflare.com. Cloudflare receives your IP address, request times, technical request headers and the test traffic. Tests do not run automatically when this page opens.
The current test configuration uses up to approximately 26.4 MB of test payload. Network overhead adds some traffic, and the measurement engine may finish with less data. The page displays a rounded 30 MB notice before a test.
The frontend disables the measurement engine's separate result-summary and measurement logging requests. It does not upload your saved local history to the project operator. Cloudflare still processes the individual measurement requests under its own policies; this is not a promise that Cloudflare keeps no technical data.
If the measurement service reports too many requests or temporary unavailability, the page shows a message and pauses the manual retry button for 30 seconds. This is a local pause, not an estimate of when the service will recover. The measurement engine may make up to three built-in retries for HTTP 429 and uses the Retry-After header when it is available to the browser. The page does not automatically restart the whole test. Failed or incomplete tests are not saved to history.
See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy and About Cloudflare Speed Test. Cloudflare's policies describe its processing, retention and international transfers. We do not specify a separate retention period on Cloudflare's behalf.
History in your browser
The last 50 completed tests are saved in this browser using localStorage. Each record contains a test date and time, download and upload speeds, ping and jitter. These records do not include your IP address, account details or app usage.
History is specific to this browser profile and website address. It is not synchronised to a server or another device. A change from the local preview address to a public address does not automatically transfer this history.
Older records are replaced after 50 completed tests. To remove stored history, clear this website's data in your browser settings. Private browsing, browser storage limits or browser settings may also remove records. If storage is unavailable, the page tells you that history will last only until the page closes. Stopped or failed tests are not added to history.
CSV files you download
The Download CSV button creates a file from the history currently available on the page. It contains UTC dates, download and upload speeds in Mbps, ping and jitter in milliseconds. The file is downloaded through your browser; the website does not automatically email it or upload it to us.
Exported files are separate copies. Clearing website data does not remove CSV files you already downloaded. If you later share a file or save it with a cloud provider, that destination handles the copy under its own terms and policies.
Cookies, analytics and page delivery
The current frontend includes no advertising trackers or audience analytics scripts. It uses localStorage for test history and does not set developer-installed tracking cookies.
The public version is prepared for delivery through a separate OpenAI ChatGPT Sites project at speed.ipatyj.com. During local review, files are served from the computer running the preview server. Hosting and delivery providers may process IP addresses, request times, requested URLs, browser and device information, operational logs and security cookies to deliver and protect the website. No provider-specific log retention period is promised here.
For the public hosting arrangement, see the ChatGPT Sites Data Processing Addendum. The measurement provider, Cloudflare Speed Test, is separate from page hosting and is described above.
Support enquiries
If you email support, we receive your sender address, message and any attachments you choose to send. An email service delivers and stores that correspondence. We use it to answer your enquiry and retain it while needed to resolve the matter and meet related legal obligations. Do not send passwords or unnecessary personal information.
Where GDPR applies, processing needed to operate a secure website and respond to enquiries relies on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f). Article 6(1)(b) may apply where an enquiry concerns necessary contractual or pre-contractual steps.
Your choices and rights
You can choose whether to start a test, stop a running test, download history or clear this website's browser data. We cannot remotely retrieve or delete history stored only in your browser.
Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact support@ipatyj.com. Proportionate information may be needed to verify a request.
You may contact a competent data protection authority, including Latvia's Datu valsts inspekcija. This website does not use visitor data for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Measurement software and third-party names
The measurement engine is @cloudflare/speedtest version 1.15.0, distributed under the MIT License. The interface and SVG dial are implemented separately for IPatyj Traffic. Cloudflare is a trademark and/or registered trademark of Cloudflare, Inc. References identify the measurement service; they do not imply sponsorship or endorsement.
The service is subject to Cloudflare's Website and Online Services Terms of Use. Availability and measurement results are not guaranteed. Results describe this browser's connection to the test service at the time of the test and may differ from other providers' measurements.
Policy changes
This policy will be updated when the website's data handling changes. The date above identifies the latest revision.
